Auburn Hires Pearl... Well, That Sucks.


It's been a pretty bad week for Bama Basketball fans, y'all...  First, Alabama Athletic Director Bill Battle announced that Anthony Grant will be retained for yet another season.  Now news has broken that Bruce Pearl, the man I've been campaigning to be Bama's coach FOR 2 LONG YEARS, has been hired by auburn.  So thanks to Battle's complete incompetence, Bama fans remain in a perpetual state of despair while auburn fans are celebrating a slam dunk hire.

Last Friday, Battle broke the bad news that he doesn't give a single shit about our basketball program.  After suffering through 5 years of bad basketball & a winless season on the road, Battle had an opportunity that legacies are made of.  By firing Grant & hiring Bruce Pearl, he could have rejuvenated this beatdown fanbase while giving Bama Hoops the opportunity to be great again.  But instead, he posted a diatribe in support of Grant & sentenced us all to what will inevitably be another disappointing season with Grant at the helm.

Of course, why would Battle bother to make such a bold move?  See, unlike Bama Hoops fans, he doesn't even bother watching the games....

Wait.  What?

While I was listening to The Crimson Tide Sports Network broadcast the Bama-Kentucky game earlier this month & while others traveled to Lexington to support this team, Bill Battle was enjoying a nice dinner with his family at Highlands Bar & Grille.  That's right.  Not only does Bill Battle not even bother watching Bama play conference opponents, he doesn't even care enough to hide it. 

Battle's blog in support of Grant stated, "Coach Grant has earned the chance to continue building this program into the winner we all know it should be.  He's done it before. He can do it again.  We need your support in making that happen.  I encourage you to rally around this team next season, to become a part of our success, and to help our team reach its potential".  Maybe our Athletic Director should consider practicing what he's been preaching.  Why should I support the dumpster fire that is Bama Basketball when our Athletic Director flagrantly continues to prove that he doesn't???

MAYBE if Battle had actually tuned into some games he would have seen that a change is necessary...

MAYBE if he'd suffered through loss after loss with the rest of us, Pearl would be sporting Crimson instead of orange & blue...

And MAYBE Anthony Grant isn't the only man at The Capstone who needs to be shown the door...

Iron Bowl Problems

F or the last month, I've been struggling with a really difficult life decision.  I'm not talking about where to plan my next vacation or what color to paint my kitchen, y'all.  This is MUCH MORE IMPORTANT than that....  See, I am the proud owner of a couple of Iron Bowl tickets & I've been really torn about what I should do with them.  Before you roll your eyes and label this a first world problem, hear me out & you'll understand why it's been so hard deciding should I stay or should I go. Rammer Jammer~A Video Diary

H ave you ever been around that snotty nosed kid that won't accept not getting their way?  You know the one I'm talking about.  The little brat that puts his fingers in his ears while screaming, "I CAN'T HEAR YOU! I CAN'T HEAR YOU!".  Imagine about 200 of those little assholes in head to toe orange and blue.  But instead of the 'I can't hear you' mantra, they manage to come up with something even more annoying.  The auburn fight song.
